China Presses Pause on Video Games
China recently announced a ban on video games for all children under 18. From 1 September, minors are only allowed 3 hours of game time over weekends.
The restriction was put in place to combat video game addiction and unhealthy behaviours in young children.
WhatsApp Says Goodbye to “Old” Smartphones 
By 1 November over 40 smartphones will no longer have access to WhatsApp.
The Facebook-owned instant messenger will soon be culling models including the iPhone 6 series and a few well-known Android devices too.  To see if your smartphone will be suffering from WhatsApp withdrawal, click here.
Spotify Enters the Wrestling Ring
Spotify has added popular World Wrestling Entertainment podcasts to its extensive playlist. All new and existing podcasts will be making the move over and will soon be exclusive to the music streaming app.
Oppo Shooting With A Kodak 
Oppo is rumoured to be teaming up with legendary camera brand, Kodak, to create a new generation smartphone. Whispers doing the rounds in the tech industry suggest their first offering will be a 50MP dual camera phone, which pays homage to the Kodak 35 camera introduced back in 1938. 
No Ticket? Just Flash Your Palm
Amazon is expanding its palm-scanning technology in the USA to allow consumers access to matches, concerts and other live events.
Currently Amazon uses palm tech to encourage cashless payments at some stores. Future plans will see this include the use of standalone, contactless ticketing pedestals at venues where previously registered palms can be scanned before entry.
Seems like the future may truly be in the palms of our hands.
