How to Use Instagram Like a Celebrity in 2022!

Staff Writer / 16-02-2022 / News & Tips

Ever wanted to be the envy of your friends and feel like a celeb on Instagram? The social network has been around for almost a decade and has become one of the most popular photo-sharing platforms in the world.

One of the biggest reasons behind its popularity is that the Facebook-owned mobile-based app also offers the highest engagement opportunities through likes, comments and views on videos over both Facebook and Twitter. Although celebrities and influencers dominate Instagram, there’s a few tips and tricks you can use to look and feel like ‘the other half’ on the platform.

Unlocking Instagram features before anyone else is as simple as accessing the Google Play Store, searching for the app, scrolling to the bottom of the page and signing up to be a beta tester of the app. This will allow features such as new filters and other updates of the app to be accessed by the user before those who are not registered for the beta programme.

Accessing new filters on Instagram is not restricted to beta testers. By following specific accounts, any user can access filters developed by the users or businesses behind those profiles. One of the biggest celebrity influencers on Instagram who has been known to instantly change a company’s brand-awareness with a single post is Kylie Jenner. If you follow her, you get access to the Kylie Cosmetic makeup filters. Numerous celebrities and brands, including Rihanna, Adidas and Gucci, offer users custom filters just for following their official accounts. Not a bad deal at all.

Recently, Johanna Jaskowska, a beta tester and artist from Germany created a series of Instagram filters that overlay futuristic effects onto photos and became globally recognised after celebrities began using her filters. Since launching them at the beginning of 2019, Jaskowska released the filters through her official account @johwska and has since racked up over 700,000 followers. By following her account, users have access to filters that have become used by international musicians such as ILoveMakkonen and Cardi B.

By signing up to become an Instagram beta tester and following the right accounts, you could also unlock a range a cool filters and features. To access your new filters, simply swipe right on the home page and the new filters will be highlighted. Not only will these make your photos more vibrant and eye-catching but may even lead to a spike in followers. Who knows? You could be the next big Instagram influencer!

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is expected to be announced in August but there is already a whirlwind of talk about what it could offer. The new flagship series has big shoes to fill as the successor of the trailblazing Galaxy Z Fold 3. If the rumours prove to be true, the Fold 4 is set to continue the legacy into the next generation. An Affordable Foldable? The new series could become the most affordable foldable by the South Korean tech giant.  The Z Fold 3 hit the South African market at a hefty R 37 999. If these guesses hold any value, we could see this price reduced.S22 Camera SpecsThe Z Fold 4 may be adopting the camera setup from the Galaxy S22 range with its stellar telephoto lens boasting 3x optical zoom, a 50MP main shooter and 12MP ultra-wide cameras. A new rumour, by leaker Dohyun Kim, claims that the new model will get the S22 Ultra’s massive 108MP main camera. This will make the Z Fold 4 thinner, lighter and more durable. Samsung could also completely ditch the book-style fold format for an s-fold design!Same Size, Bigger ScreenThe weight reduction may also mean that the Z Fold 4 will not be bigger than its predecessor. A leading tipster, Ice Universe, claims that the screen size will remain the same, but there may be more screen area as thinner bezels, and a reduced outside dimension is being considered.Reimagined DisplayTurning to the inner display, Samsung may be upgrading the current Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG) material with a tougher and higher quality option.Axed S Pen?The S Pen’s future with the Fold series is… complicated.  There are rumours of a built-in stylus, no stylus at all and the most frustrating option, no silo slot for the accessory – meaning that finding a place to store your S Pen could become an issue, especially when travelling. All in all, the latest rumours about the Z Fold 4 indicate that it’s poised for greatness, just like the generations before.
