MTN 2019 Price Increases – How Much Will You Be Paying?
Staff Writer / 23-08-2019 / News
If you’re an MTN subscriber, you’ve probably received an SMS from the network stating that your subscription will be adjusted. MTN has said that, after years of keeping their subscription rates steady, they have come to the decision to increase most of their contract prices by an average of 4% to keep up with rising costs and inflation.
Some package rates may increase by more than 4%, while others may remain unaffected. This comes into effect from the 1st of May 2019, depending on your billing cycle.
The inclusive contract value of selected My MTN Choice Flexi plans will change to align to the new price adjustments, effective from the 1st of June 2019. The increase in subscription price also means an increase in value. For example, the My MTN Choice Flexi 55 @ R55 per month will now change to My MTN Choice Flexi R60 @ R60 per month.
Value Added services will also be affected by the price increase, such as Caller Line Identity (CLI) and Itemised Billing.
